We do one more walk through at 1pm right before we go to closing. There may be some things that will have to come after closing. One of which is my entryway light that has been ordered.
The sod was scheduled for today but due to the rain it has been delayed. They can lay sod in the rain but they can't use a rock hound on muddy soil. So we need the rain to stop and the ground to dry up a bit. This may lead to no sod until after closing.
The longer stack for my range hood has been ordered. It may or may not be in before closing.
They aren't painting the trim on my door. My $1400 plastic trimmed door!! I guess they don't want to be responsible for fixing it. Now I have to google the best way to paint plastic. Ugh!
It's all just little things but it looks like we will have people in and out of the house while we are trying to move in. I hope it doesn't become an issue.
What HAS been done is the landscaping.
Notice the temporary electric pole at the side of our yard? Well that lovely pole is going to be with us for a while. It will be used for lot #9042 next to us. So until that lot is sold we have this eyesore to look at every day. Oh the joys of living in a construction zone.
It's been a lot of aggravating news today. I'm really not in a great mood. Our house is torn apart as we finish packing. Our new home won't be completely finished. But I am SO ready to move in. The house really does look great. It's just minor little things.
The house is looking so good! I bet you guys are just so excited to move in!
ReplyDeleteYou house is looking beautiful!! I know it's frustrating that everything won't be complete at closing but once you move in you probably will just be so happy to be in there that it won't matter. Hopefully they can sell that lot by you soon so that you can lose the electric pole. We have a bright orange plastic pipe in our front yard for fios/electric too, and I can't wait until that thing gets buried haha.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! Looks like we ended up closing on the same day.
ReplyDeleteCongrats and everything looks beautiful... May God bless your family and home.
